As of January 5, 2024, homes and businesses in Lubbock have six (6) weeks to shop for (and choose) a new retail electric provider (REP). On March 4th, all Lubbock Power & Light customers will transfer over to the provider they have chosen. If a customer has not chosen a new provider by March 4th, they will be switch over to a default rate on a variable rate product.
