AUGUST 25 2010 – TEXAS
The results of JD Power’s “2010 Texas Residential Retail Electric Provider Customer Satisfaction Survey” came in just last week, and Champion Energy Services is now celebrating their well-earned victory. Having garnered an outstanding overall score of 737 out of 1,000 in the survey, Champion placed highest among its competitors, with a solid 20-point lead over the runner up (Amigo Energy).
Champion netted perfect ratings in each of five categories that included Overall Satisfaction, Billing & Payment, Price, Communications and Customer Service.
The staunch competition between retail electric providers in deregulated markets has led to a bit of a crowded race, which could work out in the consumer’s favor. Among the findings gleaned from the JD Power study was an overall decrease in the average electric bill cost; down $11 from last year.
?Satisfying retail electric utility customers is an ever-changing process with respect to improving pricing and presenting better offerings and promotions,? said Jeff Conklin, senior director of the energy and utility practice at J.D. Power and Associates. ?As competitive pressures grow in the Texas retail market, retail providers will need to continue finding ways to maintain long-term relationships with their current customers, as well as implementing innovative products and improving existing services. Creating loyal and committed customers allows retail providers to maintain positive brand appeal and to attract and enroll new customers.?
