Philadelphia
In Pennsylvania?s largest city, electricity rates can be higher than in many surrounding communities. However, several of the state?s largest suppliers offer competitive rates for residential customers. TriEagle currently has a six-month plan that boasts rates as low as 8.6 cents per kWh. Meanwhile, YEP Energy has a 24-month fixed-rate plan that locks prices in at 8.6 cents as well.
Pittsburgh
Throughout the greater Pittsburgh area, YEP Energy, offers some of the lowest energy prices around for residential customers. Rates or a 24-month plan are as low as 8.4 cents per kWh. The company even offers a fixed-rate green energy plan for 8.9 cents per kWh, for customers who prefer more eco-friendly electric solutions.
Allentown
Residents of Allentown can enjoy energy rates that cost 8.7 cents per kWh from Bounce Energy, when they commit to a 24 month plan. Meanwhile, Inspire Energy offers an 8.8 cents per kWh, no contract plan for Allentown residents in certain service areas.
Erie
Erie?s energy can dip under the 8 cent per kWh range with plans such as the 24-month fixed plan from YEP Energy. In other areas of the greater Erie Metropolitan Area, residents who are not ready to commit to a two year plan can enjoy a green energy plan from Inspire Energy that comes with no contract and rates as low as 8.1 cents per kWh.
Reading
Electricity rates can vary in Reading, PA, depending on the service area. While plans tend to be more expensive in this community than in some of the other Pennsylvania metropolitan areas, there are some good deals in Reading for residential customers. Bounce Energy offers both 12-month and 24-month plans that lock in rates at 8.5 cents per kWh.
